I was born in Halden, Norway, 22. of March 1980 Norway has a very strong tradition for playing in wind bands, and I started playing in one at the age of 8 at my school. Luckily for me Halden has one of the seven professional wind ensembles in Norway and they were all - until recently - in the Norwegian Army (now there are 5 military wind ensembles left) and I've got my interest for music and education thanks to several musicians from this ensemble.
I completed my four years of studies for bachelor of music at the Norwegian academy of Music in spring 2005, where I've studied the clarinet with the great professor Hans Christian Braein. I've been working as a freelance musician for the last four years, among them one year in The Royal Norwegian Navy band and several other wind bands and orchestras. I also had the pleasure of being soloist with The Norwegian Army Band in Halden 2001, and also with The Norwegian Army Band in Harstad (Northern Norway) 2004, as well as having the honour last year playing at Sheersberg the Première Rhapsodie for clarinet and orchestra by C. Debussy.
I am now living in Harstad working as a clarinettist in The Norwegian Army Band Northern Norway, since august 2005.
