Fantasy as continuum
Thinking prepares action. This insight is indeed correct, but incomplete. It overlooks the fundamentally circular nature of action and, within that, the important phase of appropriately perceiving the situation, conditions, or individual objects and events. How can we ensure that all aspects
relevant to later action are taken into account? Thinking does not immediately lead to concrete action, but rather generates a wealth of imaginations. This visionary power is important for processes of designing, planning, modeling, and sketching content. In this respect, the phase of imagination requires sufficient time so that it can unfold fully. After perception and thinking, a space must first emerge in which entirely new internal operations can occur. In this Winter Academy, we want to pay special attention to these processes.
